We are setting out in late October on the longest S/V Creeky cruise to date: this will be both the furthest that the S/V Creeky has ever been, and the most cruising that Brendan and I will have ever done. We are excited!
The rough plan is as follows:
We anticipate that the trip will take a couple of months since we will be working [remotely] full-time at our current jobs throughout the week, and then sailing on the weekends. Each color in the map represents a different leg of the trip, where we may be stopping several times, but was just easier in terms of planning to chunk out the trip that way.
Leg 1:
Portland, Maine to Newport, Rhode Island
- This will still be territory familiar to Creeky, and we are hoping to go nonstop from Maine to Rhode Island to kick off the trip.
Leg 2:
Newport to Sandy Hook, New Jersey
Leg 3:
Sandy Hook to Cape May, New Jersey
Leg 4:
Cape May to Norfolk, Virginia (via Chesapeake Bay)
Leg 5:
Norfolk to Morehead City, North Carolia (via the ICW)
Leg 6:
Morehead City to Charleston, South Carolina
[Leg 7]:
Charleston to Savannah, Georgia
- Depending on how long it takes us, we might keep going South past Charleston and check out Savannah!
